Thanks for your support! Marty. ____________________ 13/03/06 Albert Lee Autograph, Picture & The Opening Of Picture Gallery 2! On Saturday 11th March I had the pleasure of attending 'The Stables' at Wavendon, Milton Keynes to see the extremely fast Country picking legend that is Albert Lee. It was a fantastic night (and venue) where he played for over 2 hours with his equally talented band 'Hogan's Heroes'. He played songs by many of the artists he has had the priviledge of playing for including The Everly Brothers & Emmylou Harris. Also on the set list was an amazing show of skill in his self-penned classic - 'Country Boy'. Country Boy features some of the fastest picking I've ever seen!!! His career is the thing dreams are made of, playing for some of the best artists in the music business. In many ways Albert Lee is an unsung hero of guitar as his distinct style of playing can be heard on many records but not many people outside of the Country / Guitar music scene have heard of him! After an inspiring performance, he and his band came out into the foyer to sign autographs & have pictures taken with fans. He was a great guy to meet and even though we had a technical hitch with my camera, he was really patient and waited until the camera was working again before seeing anyone else! Not many people would have done that I know! He has a DVD out which is available from his site which I can personally recommend - whatever your taste in music, I'm sure you would enjoy & appreciate his music & his talent! I even brought home the strings he used on the night for a bit of nostalgia! I got a picture with him and his autograph which can be seen on my 'Autographs' page. The picture of me and Albert Lee can be seen in Picture Gallery 2 - a new gallery dedicated to miscellaneous pictures from my archives over the years! I recorded the Rhythm, Lead, and Bass Guitars through my Line6 PodxtLive and Drums were courtesy of my new portastudio! I used my new toy - The Gibson Les Paul Riffathon prize to record all the guitar parts - hope you like it!
