Over the years I have met many guitarists and some guitar heroes. I'm not an anorak but I must confess that when I meet somebody famous or inspiring and they're not too busy, I will try to get their autograph.


I know it must be a living nightmare to many famous people having to sign things for people they've never seen before but I have been fortunate in that most of the people I have met have been happy to put their squiggle on something for me. I am now building a great collection of autographs and thought it would be a good idea to share them with you.


It is common knowledge that many famous people often refuse to sign autographs since some people make profit from them by selling autographs on ebay etc. I wouldn't part with mine and I keep them as a reminder of all the people I have met. I have also seen people be really pushy and seem to think that the artist owes them an autograph - to me it's a bonus if I get something signed, second to actually meeting and talking to them. There are still people out there like myself who are patient and respectful and quite often those are the people who get rewarded at the end with an autograph!


I'd like to say a big thank you to all the people out there who have been so kind to take the time to sign something for me - it really is appreciated!

Now you may think I've crossed the line here! hehehe! These are the strings
Albert Lee used the first time I saw him play live at 'The Stables', Wavendon.
When I met him after the show, these used strings were left on a table close by,
I asked a lady who worked for Albert whether they were in fact his, she said YES!
and told me I could take them! Cool! They are gauge 10-46, the bottom 3 come from
a standard Ernie Ball set, and the top 3 are reinforced Ernie Balls
(no surprise when you see him play!).
